A controversial South African invention, a female condom-like anti-rape device, is almost ready to hit the market after months of waiting for patent verification.

The device, known as Rapex, has stirred controversy around the world but its inventor, Sonnet Ehlers, is preparing the final pre-production phase after seven years of waiting.

The controversy has raged over whether the device, which has fish-like teeth that attach to the head and shaft of the penis, is a medieval device built on a hatred of men or whether it is an easy-to-use invention that could free millions of South African women from fear of rape.

Violence leads to violence, cruelty to cruelty, and the disrespect for human life perpetuates itself to the treatment of people like dogs. If society marks the bounds of our morality should it allow for such brutality? In self defence perhaps it is necessary, but those who see it simply for what it does must know that it will only feed the fires of hatred. Not to mention how ineffective the devise is to any rapist that is more intelligent than a doorknob. We should invest our energies toward more effective, and moral methods of prevention.

when!!!!! so the women can't do anything about it like a dog! Their moral beliefs haven't changed for a long time there . Someone needed to start somewhere!
